Does XPlite require a clean install of Windows XP?
by LitePC
NO.
There should be no problem placing XPlite onto a 'tricked-out' system vs a clean install.
Our removal routines are robust and on reinsatllation of any component you will get the 'clean' information back again as if that component was just installed from the CDROM. The consequence of this is that if you remove an reinstall a lot of components you may lose some of your tweaks as registry options are re-set to their defaults, or perhaps deleted entirely along with the uninstall procedure. This does not present any problems for system stability in the long term.
