Use XPlite before or after adding Microsoft Service Packs?

by LitePC

If want to install Windows 2000 or Windows XP and your installation media doesnt contain the latest service pack you can either install Windows, apply service packs, then let XPlite do it's work, or install Windows, run XPlite, and then apply service packs.

We do a pretty good job of cleaning up after Microsoft.  The best order is to install windows - then upgrade to the latest SP and Windows Update and everything.

After you have tested that your system is working correctly - this is that time to use XPlite. XPlite detects your service pack level and will adjust accordingly. If you upgrade to a future service pack - you would probably want to "re-remove" the features that you have previously removed - we have a "force removal feature" for just that purpose.
