Install Program Compatibility Engine:

Program Compatibility Engine is a stand-alone component. The function of Program Compatibility Engine does not rely on any other XPlite Professional components and removing other components in XPlite Professional should not influence Program Compatibility Engine.

Uninstall Program Compatibility Engine:

The following components are dependent on Program Compatibility Engine. If you remove Program Compatibility Engine from your system using XPlite Professional you will also be required to uninstall the following components:

XPlite Professional can completely uninstall Program Compatibility Engine and reinstall to repair Program Compatibility Engine on:

  • Windows XP Professional: orig, SP1, SP2
  • Windows XP Home: orig, SP1, SP2
  • Windows 2003 Server: orig, SP1, SP2(coming!)
