Maintains an updated list of computers on the network and supplies this list to computers designated as browsers. If this service is stopped, this list will not be updated or maintained. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.

BUT PLEASE NOTE: You may have other software installed that does require Computer Browser. If you encounter any compatibility issues with other software you can quickly and easily reinstall Computer Browser using XPlite Professional.

The information sent is the last block only of component installation state data - you can see this in the log as "option=1" or "option=0". No personal information is conveyed.
